Working in partnership with Cartakeback.com, Ford offers professional take back services to customers of the Ford group brands sold in the UK – Ford, Volvo, and Mazda.
All Ford appointed sites are fully licensed by the Environment Agency and in addition meet Ford quality standards for the receipt, treatment and recovery of end of life vehicles.
Conditions for free take back:
Valid for all passenger vehicles with up to nine seats and up to a permissible total weight of 3.5 tonnes.
Vehicles must be delivered to a manufacturer's appointed free take back facility.
Vehicle must be complete, containing the essential components including engine, transmission, coachwork, wheels and catalyst (where fitted).
Vehicle must be free from additional waste (such examples include garden/household waste, additional tyres etc).

*The End of Life Vehicles Directive (2000/53/EC) requires manufacturers to meet as of 2007 all or a significant part of the cost of processing End of Life vehicles with nil or negative market value for all vehicles of their brand(s). Manufacturers and their contracted partners must also meet stringent recycling targets – 85% by weight of a vehicle as of 2006 and 95% by 2015.
