There will be a standard increase of £200 across all derivatives of 2008.5MY new Ford Mondeo which includes the standardisation of Advanced Bluetooth Hands-free and Voice Control System, previously a chargeable option.

There will be further pricing increases to the 2008.5MY new Ford Mondeo Titanium X models to reflect the addition of Front and Rear Parking sensors and 18” Y-Spoke Alloy Wheels now featured as standard.

In addition to this, we are pleased to announce the release, from 5th May 2008, of the exciting new Ford Mondeo Titanium X Sport range. This model introduces the 2.2 175PS TDCi engine and will feature standard equipment including: Bi Xenon Headlamps, Alcantara/Leather Trim with red stitching, Rear Spoiler, unique front bumper and diffuser, body colour side skirts and Sports Suspension.

Finally, in April the 2008 MY new Ford Mondeo was excluded from the metallic paint price increase which affected all other models in the range. From 5th May 2008 the price for optional metallic paint for all 2008.5MY new Ford Mondeo derivatives will increase by £25.

2008.75 MY production will see the introduction of an exciting range of new products and features to the award winning Ford Transit range.

New “Trend” and “Limited” series will be introduced. Trend will offer superior features and equipment, whilst Limited will offer the ultimate Ford Transit for those that need the highest levels of style and security from their commercial vehicle.

• Trend will be available on Panel Van, DCIV, Tourneo 9 seat, 9 seat Shuttle Bus, 15 and 17 seat Bus
• Limited will be available on Panel Van, DCIV and Tourneo 8 seat

In line with these improvements, the Base series will also be even better equipped with increased standardisation of features including power front windows, tinted glass, front and rear mud-flaps, adjustable passenger seat, chrome air vent control knobs and water in fuel sensor.

To compliment this we are simplifying the options list by removing overly complex options and introducing some new colours and new option packs. These will include “Panther Black” (metallic) and a new Visibility Pack, which following feedback from existing fleet customers will include only the 'Quickclear' heated windscreen and power/heated mirrors.

Finally we will also be extending the range introducing new entities and models including:

• Introduction of new Ford Transit 300L entities: RWD 100PS & 115PS power-trains and a 300L DCIV line up available in both FWD and RWD power-trains.
• Introduction of 330S SWB and 350M HD Chassis Cab models: The 330S model offers payloads of up to 1700kg and is available in a wide range of power-trains including the RWD 140PS. The HD (heavy duty) range of chassis cabs has been further increased by adding the popular MWB chassis to the range.
• New Ford Transit SportVan: A limited production batch of SportVans will be produced in panther black with silver bonnet stripes. Other improvements include Bluetooth and bodyside mouldings as standard.

Customer Order Price Protection applies to all 2008.5MY new Ford Mondeo (excluding Titanium X and Titanium X Sport) and all 2008.75MY new Ford Transit where the customer Contract Date is 5th May or earlier and gate release date is 5th May 2008 or after. The Contract Date is based on the date when the Advice of Contract is received by Ford, either from a Ford dealership or through the Ford Business Centre. A Contract Date prior to 5th May 2008 will ensure that Customer Order Price Protection is granted automatically and that you are billed at the correct price. This may be in the form of a credit note. (Note: Contract Dates will be subject to audit and can only be pre-dated by up to three days).

As we advised in the Pricing Update issued in March, from October 27th 2008, Transport For London are making adjustments to London Congestion Charging, and vehicles with Euro 4 compliant engines which produce less than 120g/km of CO2 will qualify for an exemption. We are pleased to advise you that there are currently 33 models within the Ford range meeting these criteria and will therefore qualify for exemption from London Congestion Charging.
